As a part of the School District of Philadelphia's Innovation Network, The Workshop School is a project-based high school serving grades 9-12. Our curriculum is centered around real-world contexts and career pathways, with the goal of equipping students with the skills and knowledge to pursue authentic careers and lives upon graduation.
What Makes Us Unique
Interdisciplinary project based learning embedded in an advisory model, daily circle and school-wide restorative practices, internships, entrepreneurship, and dual enrollment programs; an automotive CTE program, competency-based assessment.
How We Spend Our Time
Students spend half the day in project work with a single cohort of students (their advisory), and the other half in subject-based seminars. The school operates on a trimester system, with new projects launching each term. At the end of each term, students are required to demonstrate learning and growth through public exhibitions, which are paired with family conferences.
